We are sad to report that we are not open for business due to the COVID19 Pandemic. We are still trying to figure out how to meet all the state and federal guidelines for lodging and meals, and we have not yet determined when we will open again. We don't want to jeopardize the health and safety of our guests or ourselves (since we live on the premises).
Some innkeepers plan to monitor temperatures at the door and to dispense hand sanitizer, but we do not want to be policing the health of our guests and risk making guests feel uncomfortable. Some states are requiring that guests wear masks in all common areas, and we haven't figured out how to eat breakfast with a mask on! We know we will probably only share our 2 larger rooms (Ruby and Sapphire) to maintain social distancing and allow for thorough cleaning between bookings, when we do open again.
We are planning to wait until the peak passes and then decide when and how to resume accepting reservations. If you have any questions, please contact us directly via phone or email. We are here, working on interior and exterior home improvements to be ready to welcome our guests in our usual warm and friendly way.
"The River Gem alone is worth the visit to Pocomoke City!"
The food was delicious and we were made welcome every minute...
