Discounts apply year-round for many qualified visitors (but may not be combined with each other) as long as identification is provided in person to qualify: 10% for seniors, Salisbury/UMES college visits, and for active and veteran military personnel.

 

Special Packages

Anniversary, Birthday, Valentines, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation and other Congratulatory celebrations deserve a special package at The River Gem. Flowers, chocolate, champagne or sparkling cider, or maybe even breakfast in bed, are thoughtful possibilities – with a personalized message or theme following consultation.  Your specially designed special package is well worth the base price of $50.00. We are very good at keeping surprises if that is part of your plan.

 

Special Days: Weddings

The River Gem is happy to book rooms for small wedding parties  and is a lovely location for an intimate ceremony.  Innkeeper Mona Margarita herself is a wedding officiant who is happy to unite or renew vows for loving couples under Maryland state law.

 

Special Opportunities

During violet flower season in the spring, you could learn how to make and bake edible flower cookies for your afternoon tea. Joining the River Gem team in the cafe for impromptu workshops might be the best part of your visit (especially during inclement weather).
